This iconic property sets the standard for old school luxury in Rio, having played home to famous visiting celebrities and politicians. The property is superbly located facing Copacabana Beach. Each of the 243 rooms and suites are uniquely designed with fine period furniture and original works of art. Be sure to visit Hotel Cipriani Restaurant with a blend of both classic and modern Brazilian and Italian dishes. You can also enjoy the pan-Asian cuisine of MEE Restaurant, one of Rio's only Michelin starred restaurants.
I stayed for a few nights at the end of December '14. Fabulous staff (we arrived with no bags) cared for us from check in with essentials to get us going and out onto the beach. Pool food is pricey for what you get considering the beach food available. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. We're going back!
