Once an exclusive women’s hostelry and later a local haunt for Moroccan-themed soirees, Hotel Figueroa has reopened in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles after a two year restoration. Blending both old and new, the hotel is respectful of its original 1926 Spanish Colonial splendor and yet undoubtedly contemporary – creating a space that is both inspired by its own history and inspiring to those who walk its halls. The 268 rooms and suites in this 14-story luxury property feel residential yet artistically elevated with warmly designed decor: wood beams, paned glass, metal detailing, and custom Spanish tiles.
Two destination restaurants channel Mediterranean meets California - Breva off the lobby serves Basque tapas, while Veranda offers glamorous poolside dining with an Italian flair. Bar Figueroa pours a progressive spirit into LA's chic cocktail scene.
I loved my experience. I actually came to meet a client for breakfast and loved the ambiance and the incredible energy of the staff. I enjoyed it so much so that I checked out of an already-booked hotel to stay here. The bed is a hug! The team, especially Aisha, was terrific. This will be my hotel of preference next time I am in town.
