At the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, The Saguaro Palm Springs is a lively, colorful hotel with a young fun vibe. All of the rooms are saturated in bright colors, and the outdoor patios switch from yellow to orange to pink to purple. The weekend often includes the bonus of a pool DJ and all of the tattooed young things this side of the 405 -- a good thing for those traveling with a family to remember. Poolside daybeds plus and cabanas are also available for guests of the hotel to rent.
In addition to the pool scene, there is a dining scene. Fresh fruit margaritas, tacos on the lawn and daily happy hour at El Jefe. The rooms aren’t luxe, but it’s hard to complain given the price tag. Venture out and you are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from King's Highway restaurant at nearby hipster haven, the Ace Hotel or the open-air terrace restaurant Norma's at The Parker and only 2 miles from downtown.
